Ensuring Well-being for Children

Building Resilience: Mental Wellness in Schools

At Isha Cares, we recognize that emotional well-being is just as important as physical health—especially for children and families navigating illness or high-stress environments.

Through our SKY Schools initiative, we’ve introduced evidence-based breathwork, mindfulness, and resilience-building workshops in New Jersey schools. These sessions are designed to help students, educators, and families manage stress, improve focus, and foster emotional balance.

By equipping children and the adults around them with practical tools for self-care and mental clarity, we’re nurturing healthier, more connected learning environments—and planting the seeds for lifelong well-being.

At Isha Cares, we work to uplift women, children, and families by partnering with local organizations and supporting those most in need. Our volunteers assist shelters like Oasis and the Center for Great Expectations, offer funds for vital resources, and create joy through events and daily support.

We also champion childhood wellness by raising awareness of pediatric cancer and mental health, and by partnering with schools—including supporting fundraising walks and community initiatives at Rutgers Preparatory School. Thanks to our supporters, we provide comfort, care, and opportunities for children and families across our community.

Together, we’re building a brighter future—one family and one child at a time.
